July 25 2023/ The second game of 5th  Seirei title series

 

The second game of 5th Seirei title series 5 game matches – Satomi Seirei Vs Nishiyama

three crowns was held at Hotel New Otani Hakata in Fukuoka city. Score was Satomi Seirei one win. Game form was double 3rd file rook.  Nishiyama three crowns won with 93 moves.

 

July 26 2023/ The third game of 64th Oui Title Series

 

  The third game of 64th Oui title series- Fujii Oui Vs Daichi Sasaki7-dan was held at  Ginrinsou in Otaru city on July 25th and 26th . Score was Fujii Oui two wins.  Game form was bishop exchange double reclining silver. Fujii Oui won with 131 moves.

 

July 27 2023/ The 82th Ranking Series group-A, The 36th Ryuou title final tournament-Semi final

  

The 82th Ranking Series group-A

 

 The 82th Ranking series group-A- Nagase Ouza Vs Amahiko Satou 9-dan was held at Tokyo Shogi Kaikan. Game form was side pawn picker Bishop 33 strategy.  Nagase Ouza won with 93 moves.

 

The 36th Ryuou title final tournament-Semi final

 

The 36th Ryuou title final tournament (Semi final )– Inaba 8-dan Vs Takumi Itou 6-dan was held at Kansai Shogi Kaikan. Game form was double wing attack.  Itou 6-dan won with 113 moves. He advanced to the Ryuou title challenger deciding match three game series and opponent was Nagase Ouza.

 

July 28,2023/ The 30th Oyama Yasuharu prize

 

Japan Shogi Association decided to give the 30th Oyama Yasuharu prize to one individual and one group that have made tremendous contribution to the promotion of shogi

  

Individual division: Mr. Frank Rovekamp Achievement ; President of Europe shogi Association

 

As a center of Europe shogi Association, he was  not only running Europe Shogi Championship(ESC) and World Open Shogi Championship (WOSC) but also was making a great contribution to promotion of shogi. He was also official translator in international shogi forum held every 3 years. He was mediator between Shogi staff in the world and Japan Shogi Association.

 

  Group division:  Mikurajima Island

  

  Mukurajima island,  200km to the south of Tokyo, was tuge-producing district. Tuge is a material of luxury shogi pieces. Tuge produced in Mikarajima is called Island Tuge. They are used in many title series and professional shogi games. They enacted day called "Thank for tuge piece" on the second Saturday of May.  They held teaching games by professional shogi players and shogi event on this day. They are making  a great contribution to  promotion of shogi.

 

July 29,2023/ Mainavi Ladies open

 

 The 17th Mainavi Ladies Open- preliminary round was held at Mainavi PLECEI in Tokyo. 52 Ladies professional players are playing in 13 groups.

  

July 30, 2023/ The 73th NHK Shogi Tournament-1st Round -18 games

  

 The 73th NHK shogi tournament- Kondou 7- dan Vs Katagami 7-dan was held on TV program. Game form was opposition form .  Katagami 7-dan chose 3rd file rook. Katagami 7-dan won with 119 moves.
