The first game of the seventh Eiou Title Series where Deguchi 6-dan is challenging Fujii Eiou was held at Kanda Shrine in Tokyo on April 28th. They also held the first game of Eiou title Series there last year. Deguchi 6-dan was the first time to play title Series. April 28th is his birthday. He wanted to celebrate his own birthday with a victory.
Sente was Fujii Eiou. Game form was Double wing Attack. Each thinking time is 4 hours in Eiou title Series. Fujii Eiou had spent 1 hour and 44 mintes and Deguchi 6-dan had spent 33 minutes by 31 moves. Fujii Eiou spent a lot of time in opening game.
Both players took side pawn with his rook each other. Fujii Eiou attacked with knight.
Deguchi 6-dan exchanged his rook for enemy`s knight at the opening game. Satou yasumitu 9-dan and Katumata 7-dan were surprised and shouted. Deguchi 6-dan forked king and bishop.
Both players were 1-minute game at the end game. Fuii Eiou attacked with dragon.
Duguchi 6 -dan defended with horse. Finally Fujii Eiou approached Deguchi Eiou`s king.
Fujii Eiou won with 93 moves. Fujii Eiou has won 11 consecutive wins in Title Series since he defeated Toyoshima Oui(at that time) on the fifth game of Oui Title Sereis last August . It included fifth game of Eiou Title , 4 straight wins in Ryuou Title Series last year and 4 straight wins in Oushou Title Series this year. Deguchi 6-dan could not celebrate with victory. Next game will be held on May 15th. I am looking for next game.
