The second game of the 80th Meijin Title series 7-game match, where Saitou 8-dan was challenging Watanabe Meijin was held at Takitei in Kanazawa city on April 22th and 23th.

 Score was Watanabe Meijin one-win.

 

Sente was Saitou 8-dan. Game form was bishop exchange.  Saitou 8-dan chose rapid advancing silver.  Watanabe Meijin put bishop on the 4th rank to contain opponent`s attack.  Watanabe Meijin defended his King with 4 pieces (gold and silver). On the first day Watanabe Meijin played new move (38 moves) and Saitou 8 dan was thinking about this movement for two hours.
