Watanabe oushou is the leader of post Habu generation. He is three crown now, which are Meijin, Oushou, Kiou. He has two permanent titles, which are Ryuou and Kiou.
He was the first player to win permanent Ryuou. Ryuou Title Series in 2008 was unforgettable Series, Which was Watanabe Ryuou(at that time) VS Habu Meijin(at that time).
Watanabe Ryuou lost three games in a row. Most funs thought that Habu Meijin was the first player to win permanent Ryuou, but he won four straight games after losing three games in a row. This was the first title Series that winning four straight games after losing three games in a row.
He won the permanent Kiou in 2017(challenger was Chida 6 dan at that time). He won the second permanent Kiou in history for the first time in 22 years since Mr. Habu.
He won 28 titles in the 46 th Kiou title Series last year and broke the record of Tanikawa 9-dan`s 27 title and was ranked 4th in the number of titles won alone.
He had a lot of historical record so far, but He lost to Fujii 7-dan (at that time) in the Kisei title Series of 2020. He was the challenger for Kisei title last year , but he failed to revenge Fujii kisei. It`s score was three lost in a row. He was the first time to lose straight in his 39 title Series.
I was wondering Why Watanabe Oushou was weak for Fujii 4 crown. I am looking for Watanabe Oushou`s rollback.
